EXPERIENCE COMFORT LIKE YOUR HOME

 Person-Centred Care in Northampton

Supporting seniors and people with brain injuries, dementia, or illnesses.

Personalised Care in Your Own Home

We offer compassionate care services that empower seniors to live independently. We understand that balancing work and caring for a loved one can be challenging. Our services provide families peace of mind, knowing their loved one is receiving exceptional care, allowing them to focus on work.

We offer personalised care based on the physical, emotional, and mental needs of individuals with disabilities. By going beyond basic care, our caring team makes you feel better and more confident, helps build your social connections, and supports you to live a life of dignity.

Caring for Individuals With Disabilities

We want people with brain injuries to live healthy and satisfied lives. Over the years, we’ve helped many individuals with brain injuries thrive at home and in their communities. Families nationwide trust us for lifelong care that adapts to their loved one's evolving needs.

WHO WE ARE

Care That Comes From the Heart

"At Loving Care Agency Ltd, we believe that truly good care starts with genuinely understanding the people we support — not just their physical needs, but their mental, emotional, and social wellbeing too."

Our Story

Loving Care Agency Ltd was born from a deeply personal experience. Mel, our founder — a qualified mental health nurse with years of experience across both inpatient wards and community mental health teams in Northampton — watched their own grandfather develop dementia. What followed was a painful and frustrating search for the right care. Despite having clinical knowledge, professional contacts, and an understanding of how the healthcare system works, finding consistent, compassionate, and appropriate dementia support for a loved one proved far harder than it should ever have been.

That experience raised a question that was impossible to ignore: if someone working inside the NHS couldn't easily navigate the system for their own family, what chance did everyone else have?

Loving Care Agency Ltd was incorporated in 2021, and after building the right foundations—recruiting the right people, completing the right training, and ensuring every standard was met—Mel and the team began providing care in August 2023. We exist because of a gap that should not exist. And we are here to close it, one person at a time.

We are a small, family-run company — and we are proud of that. Mel and the people who built this agency from personal necessity are still the people running it today, still personally invested in every single client we support. We have built our reputation on three things that set us apart: our clinical mental health expertise, our family-run personal approach, and our commitment to accountability as a CQC-regulated provider.

Why Mental Health Expertise Makes Us Different

Mental and physical health are deeply connected — yet many care providers are trained in one without meaningful experience in the other. Our clinical roots in mental health nursing mean we approach every client as a whole person.

This means we are equipped to support people experiencing:

  • Dementia and memory loss, including managing anxiety and behavioural changes with compassion and calm

  • Depression and low mood, particularly common in elderly or isolated individuals

  • Emotional and psychological impacts of long-term physical conditions or acquired brain injuries

  • Complex needs arising from physical disabilities that affect mental wellbeing and independence

  • Anxiety around personal care, social interaction, or changes in routine

Our team is trained not just to provide physical assistance but to notice changes in mood and behaviour, to communicate with empathy, and to flag concerns early. For families, this provides a level of reassurance that goes beyond the standard care visit.

What We Do

We provide personalised domiciliary care and supported living services across Northampton and Northamptonshire, helping people to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes.

Our services include:

  • Personal care — assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and continence

  • Medication support and management

  • Elderly care and companionship

  • Dementia care — tailored to routine, familiarity, and emotional reassurance

  • Support for physical disabilities — adapted to each individual's needs and goals

  • Brain injury care — enabling independence and community participation

  • Supported living — helping people with complex needs live in their own space

  • Hourly and overnight care

  • 24/7 emergency support

Our Values

Everything we do is guided by four core values:

  • Dignity first.

Every person we support is treated with the same respect and dignity we would want for our own family members. We never rush, and we never make assumptions.

  • Holistic care.

We look beyond the care plan. We consider mental, emotional, cultural, and social needs as equally important as physical ones.

  • Honesty and transparency.

We communicate openly with clients and their families — including when things are difficult. Trust is built through honesty.

  • Continuous improvement.

We are CQC regulated and committed to learning, growing, and always doing better for the people in our care.

Our Team

As a small family company, we are personally involved in every aspect of the care we provide — from the initial assessment through to day-to-day visits. You will not be passed between departments or speak to a different person every time you call. We know our clients, and our clients know us.

We take our time to recruit the right people: individuals who share our values, bring genuine warmth to their work, and have the skills to support people with complex and varied needs. All our carers are thoroughly vetted, DBS checked, and receive ongoing training — including mental health awareness, dementia care, safeguarding, and moving and handling.

Regulated, Trusted, Accountable

Loving Care Agency Ltd is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This means our services are independently inspected against national standards for safety, effectiveness, responsiveness, caring, and well-led management.

We welcome scrutiny, because accountability is part of what makes good care possible. If you would like to view our CQC registration or inspection reports, please ask us or visit the CQC website at cqc.org.uk.

"If you are looking for care for yourself or someone you love, we would be honoured to have a conversation. No obligation — just an honest chat about what support might look like."
